Tips for the Best Trip
- Operating Hours: Ripley’s Aquarium is open from 10am - 8pm Monday to Sunday, 365 days a year! Some evenings they will be closed early for a private event, so make sure to check before heading down.
- Peak Hours: If you aren’t into crowded spaces, you should try to plan your visit around the times when the aquarium is the busiest! Those times are usually between 11am-2pm from Monday through Friday and 11am-4pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
- Weather: If you plan to swing by the Aquarium without purchasing your ticket in advance, you might want to check the weather first! The aquarium can get pretty busy, causing the lineup to go outside of the building during their busy hours and seasons. So make sure you pack a raincoat if it’s calling for showers and some sunscreen for those sunny days!

The flash gets reflected in the glass of the enclosures, meaning you’ll end up with lots of pictures of glare and not a lot of marine life. The Aquarium only allows handheld cameras on the premises. You can take as many photos and videos as you’d like for personal use and memories (no commercial use). If you want to go in and take some shots for commercial use, make sure to contact them and fill out a request first!
